WELCOME TO THE TRAIL MOTEL!

Kellogg ID Silver Mountain Silver Mountain Powder Silver Mountain Miner's Hat Building Downtown Kellogg Idaho ATVs Trail Motel Sign

The Trail Motel is proud to be the best kept secret in the heart of the historic Silver Valley in the Idaho Panhandle. We are a cozy oasis for travelers on a budget nestled in the Silver Mountains, which includes Kellogg Peak at 6,300 feet (1,920 m) and Wardner Peak (6,200 feet (1,890 m)). Both are easily accessed by riding the world's longest single-cabin gondola which runs 3.1 miles (5.0 km), and is located less than half a mile from the motel. We are just over 30 minutes drive from Lake Coeur d’Alene and the city of Coeur d’Alene, 20 minutes to the Look Out Pass Ski Area on the Idaho/Montana border, one and a half hour’s drive to Sandpoint, ID and one hour, 15-minute drive to the Spokane, WA airport.

Hands down, we are the best value in the Silver Valley region! That will leave you with plenty of cash to explore all the region and town has to offer the whole year round! We’ve got the best skiing and snow-boarding conditions anywhere and there’s plenty to explore for the hunter, fisher, hiker and biker in and around the nearby Coeur d’Alene National Forest and throughout the Silver Valley. The start of the Kellogg Silverton Loop (which has four different shorter bike loops) is just a few blocks away from the motel as is the Chrystal Gold Mine Underground Tour. History buffs will delight in the rich local history and museums dedicated to telling it. During the summer months there are numerous music festivals, waterpark and sporting events, scores of outdoor activities atop the mountains and throughout the area. They all make Kellogg a unique and popular destination for the entire family.

The Trail Motel is now under new management and we have made some upgrades that you will love! We are located just off I-90, next door to Dave Smith Motors, and walking distance to numerous restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy and historic downtown Kellogg. Come and be our guest!
